Nordic Skiing in The Methow Valley
A couple weeks ago I spent a lovely long weekend at The Sun Mountain Lodge near Twisp, Washington. The lodge is located in The Methow Valley and at its doorstep is easy access to the 50+ miles of groomed nordic ski trails maintained by the Methow Valley Sport Trail Association.

This trip has become an annual tradition and I really, really enjoy the unplugged environment: no TV, no media... Just lots and lots of beautiful views, beautiful snow, great outdoor exercise, and delicious food. Oh, and friends:
It was basically a perfect weekend, except for the part where we skied by a dead guy on the trail. That was a little creepy and sad. Other than that -- a great time!
